went to kitano-tenmangu shrine 北野天満宮 (god for academic success), famous for plum blossoms. actually it was my first time to go to the plum garden 梅苑 – last time I went there (maybe around 15 yrs ago) I only went to the shrine.

it’s quieter compared to the cherry blossom fever in early april, but the smell of the plum blossoms, oimatsu 老松 (japanese sweets maison in kitano area) snacks inside the garden, and early spring sunshine really made me happy!
